Behavioral Health Nurse Educator/Program Coordinator

Full-Time Behavioral Health Nurse Educator/Program Coordinator responsible for the development and implementation of the educational programs, staff development, orientation, continuing education and competency as related to the needs of the staff, patients and community members. Responsible for coordination of all group programming and therapeutic activities on the inpatient units.

NYS RN License and 3-5 years recent education experience in a Behavioral Health setting required.  BSN required, MSN preferred. Successful candidate must possess strong clinical skills and good communication and presentation skills.

Renal Dialysis Clinic

RN, LPN and Patient Care Technician positions

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center is expanding as we are soon to open a new state-of-the-art 17 station outpatient renal hemodialysis clinic.

RN Openings
Full time and part time 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. -- 12 hour shifts available, includes on call coverage.
Full time 9 a.m. to 9:30 pm -- 12 hour shifts available, includes on call coverage.

NYS RN Licensure and 9 months nursing experience plus 3 additional months of dialysis experience required.

LPN Openings
12 hour shifts available.
Full time 5 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.  Prior dialysis experience and current NYS LPN license required.

Patient Care Technicians
Full time and part time 8 hour shifts available.  High school diploma and certification by CMS approved ctate or national certifying program required.

Employee Health and Wellness Manager

Excellent opportunity for a professional to provide consistent follow-up and ongoing monitoring of all employee health care in conjunction with NYS guidelines.  The succesful candidate will coordinate and direct case management for Workers' Compensation and OSHA reporting; work closely with HR on disability cases and FMLA; and develop, implement and lead a comprehensive wellness program and preventive strategies partnering with healthcare provider agencies. 

Requirements: strong clinical skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, current NYS RN licensure and three years recent Occupational Health Nurse experience, preferably in a hospital or industrial environment.  Two years management/supervisory experience with Certified Occupational Health Nurse designation preferred.  Competitive salary and benefit package available.


Registered Nurse First Assistant

Per diem position available plus after hour call case coverage for our busy Surgical Department.  Current CNOR as well as New York state licensure required.  Graduate of accredited RNFA program and 3 years diversified OR experience required.

Emergency Department Registered Nurses

Previous ED experience preferred, minimum 1 year medical-surgical experience required.


Registered Nurse -- Behavioral Health Services

For inpatient psychiatric unit.  Available shifts: 3 to 11 p.m. and 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.  Full-time, part-time and per diem shifts available.

Nurse Practitioners

Hospitalist Program - Full time, part time and per diem. Previous experience in acute inpatient care required. Previous experience in a hospitalist program preferred.

Family Practice Clinic -  Part time weekdays to work in our busy primary care clinic.  Experience required.  Previous experience in a primary care setting preferred. 

Licensed Practical Nurse -- Behavioral Health

Full time and part-time, 3 to 11 p.m. and 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. 

Nursing Opportunities at Schoellkopf Health Center

R.N. Unit Manager

Full time to manage 12-bed subacute/28-bed long-term unit.  Must have experience in long-term care, survey process and MDS, along with strong management and interpersonal skills.  Responsibilities include supervising other nursing staff to ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures and acting as a liaison and patient advocate.  Will actively participate in nursing management team.  RN with recent long term care experience required.  Competitive salary and benefit package available.

RN Supervisor

Per diem.  Various shifts needed.  NYS license and knowledge of NYSDOH guidelines required.  Excellent nursing skills, flexibility a must.

Licensed Practical Nurse

Part time and per diem for 2:30 p.m to 10:30 p.m. shift.  NYS license required.

Registered Dietitian

Permanent, full time to work with patients in acute care, outpatient dialysis, MNT outpatient clinic and community education settings.  Acute care experience, ADA CDR and NYS CD/N required.  Strong clinical skills and good communication and presentation skills a must.  Competitive salary and benefits including flexible hours and tuition assistance. 

Certified Athletic Trainer

Part time to provide injury prevention, injury recognition and rehabilitation to athletic programs and organizations and treatment in our outpatient physical therapy department  Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine required, master's degree preferred.  NATA certification, NYS registration, CPR/AED certification and ARC First Aid required.  One year experience in athletic training setting preferred.  Entry level grads with NATA certfification will be considered.


Occupational Therapist

Part time for school based pediatric setting within the Niagara Falls City School District. Weekdays only, experience with IEP helpful.  Mentoring is available. Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy and current N.Y.S. occupational therapy license required.

Operating Room Technician

Full time days (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) plus on-call coverage.  Graduation from an operating room technology program required. One year experience in related field preferred.

Staff Pharmacist

Part-time or per diem.  Responsible for professional pharmaceutical services including dispensing and clinical activities for patients of our 183-bed acute care hospital. Pharmacy hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends.  New graduates welcome to apply.  NYS license required.


Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (C.O.T.A)

Opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare setting utilizing a multidisciplinary approach in inpatient and outpatient adult behavioral health care.  We seek a creative, energetic person skilled in conducting psycho-educational discussion groups, manual arts and crafts, and cooperative games.  Associate's degree and current NYS Occupational Therapist Assistant Certification plus one year behavioral health experience required.

Director of Health Information Management

Full time. Responsible for administrative and supervisory leadership of all department functions in support of the medical center and HIM Strategic Plan.  Previous experience with EMR implementation preferred. Reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Bachelor of science degree in Health Information Management and current RHIA credentials as well as 3 to 5 years supervisory experience in Health Information Management field required.


Director of Patient Access Services

Full Time. Responsible for overall operations of department including ED, Medical Mall and Centralized Scheduling departments.  Associate's degree and 5 years supervisory experience in Patient Access Services as well as excellent communication skills required.

Employment Coordinator

Part time to evaluate, screen and interview applicants for medical center employment. Coordinates the employment function within Human Resources, analyzes turnover, explores and develops strategies for retention.  Associate's degree required, bachelor's in industrial relations, personnel management or business administration preferred with a minimum of 3 years experience in the employment screening and employee relations process.  Proficiency with MS Word/Excel software required.
