Nurse New Hire Bonus

Registered Nurse - New Hire Bonus

Effective November 1, 2006 until further notice:

All Registered Nurses hired to fill a Full Time or Part Time staff RN position by NF Memorial Medical Center after November 1, 2006 will receive up to $5,000 subject to the following terms:

  • Must not be currently employed on a Medical Center/ SHC payroll in the capacity of an RN. If there is prior employment with either NFMMC or Schoellkopf Health Center as an RN, a separation in excess of 1 year must be present for the Bonus to be payable.
  • $500 – to be paid with the 1st full pay period following the new hire's start date.
  • $1500 – to be paid with the 1st full pay period following the completion of passing the NYS licensing board exam or completion of the 90 day probationary period if licensed upon hire. (It is the expectation of the Center that the Graduate RN will take the exam within the 90 day probationary period.)
  • $1500 – to be paid with the 1st full pay period following completion of 1 year of service.
  • $1500 - to be paid with the 1st full pay period following completion of 2 year of service.

All payments are conditioned upon the RN voluntarily staying in the department in which they were originally hired. If the RN chooses to bid out during the 2 year period, any unpaid bonus monies will be forfeited.

Licensed Practical Nurse - New Hire Bonus

Effective November 1, 2006 until further notice:

All Licensed Practical Nurses hired to fill a clinical role in patient care by NF Memorial Medical Center after November 1, 2006 will receive up to $2,500 subject to the following terms:

  • Must not be currently employed on a Medical Center/ SHC payroll in the capacity of an LPN.
  • $250 – to be paid with the 1st full pay period following the new hire's start date.
  • $250 – to be paid with the 1st full pay period following the completion of passing the NYS licensing board exam or completion of the 90 day probationary period if licensed upon hire. (It is the expectation of the Center that the Graduate LPN will take the exam within the 90 day probationary period.)
  • $1000 – to be paid with the 1st full pay period following completion of 1 year of service.
  • $1000 - to be paid with the 1st full pay period following completion of 2 year of service.

All payments are conditioned upon the LPN voluntarily staying in the department they were originally hired. If the LPN chooses to bid out during the 2 year period, any unpaid bonus monies will be forfeited.
