Bagley awarded Esther L. Werner & Helene Barter Scholarship

Sharon Bagley, a registered respiratory therapist in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center's Cardio-Pulmonary Department, has been awarded the 2005 Esther L. Werner & Helene Barter Scholarship by the Memorial Medical Center Auxiliary.

The $500 scholarship is awarded annually to a Memorial employee who is pursuing additional education in the health care field.

A Canisius College graduate who has worked at Memorial since 1986, Bagley is enrolled in a 12-month Echocardiography Technician program at Trocaire College in Buffalo.

The scholarship, awarded annually since 1989, is named for Werner, Memorial's first social work director, and her sister, a Medical Center volunteer.  Both were long-time members of the Auxiliary.
