Celebrate Spring Celebrate Life

Memorial Medical Center, Upstate New York Transplant Services and the Fashion Outlets Niagara Falls, NY will celebrate the arrival of spring with a celebration of life from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 21 at the mall’s Center Court, 1900 Military Road, Niagara Falls.

“Celebrate Spring – Celebrate Life!” will feature health and wellness information along with health screenings, interactive displays and demonstrations by both UNYTS and the Medical Center.  Free face painting for the kids will be provided courtesy of Memorial Child Care.

In addition, Upstate New York Transplant Services will hold a community blood drive at the mall and provide information about lifesaving organ and tissue donation along with an opportunity to sign up as an organ and tissue donor. 
 
Community blood banks are neighbors helping neighbors.  Since beginning collections in June 2007, Upstate New York Transplant Services (UNYTS) has become the primary supplier of blood products for all five hospitals in Niagara County and for the entire Kaleida Health System. 

Local hospitals need to maintain an adequate supply of blood for emergency situations UNYTS Community Blood Services depends on the generosity of local donors to help meet the community’s need.
