Child Advocacy Center to celebrate 10th anniversary

“Honoring Our Roots ... Realizing Our Dream” will be the theme Sept. 28 as the Child Advocacy Center of Niagara celebrates its 10th anniversary with a cocktail buffet and reception at the Niagara Falls Country Club.

The center, which has served more than 2,000 children since 1995, is a countywide resource providing a place for multi-disciplinary teams to investigate allegations of child abuse in a child-friendly environment. The anniversary celebration will honor representatives from the fields of child protection, law enforcement, medicine, mental health, victim assistance and the court system who were instrumental in its formation.

Chairing the event is Caroline Wojtaszek. Sheriff Thomas A. Beilein is honorary chairman.

The event will begin with cocktails at 5 p.m. with the program scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $50. For information and reservations, call 285-0045.
