Home > News Room > Hand and Shoulder Center of WNY expands to Memorial Hand and Shoulder Center of WNY expands to MemorialThe Hand and Shoulder Center of Western New York, an academic group practice committed to excellence in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of hand, elbow and shoulder disorders, is expanding into Niagara County through a new affiliation with Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Currently affiliated with Kaleida Health and the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, the Hand and Shoulder Center offers a continuum of services including shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand surgery, acute physical and occupational therapy, and work therapy. “The surgical and rehabilitative services offered by the Hand and Shoulder Center will fill a very significant need in the Greater Niagara region,” Memorial President & CEO Joseph A. Ruffolo said. “We’re delighted to help make their expertise so readily available.”
He specializes in all aspects of hand and upper extremity surgery, including shoulder and elbow arthroscopy, instability, trauma and joint reconstruction. A Lewiston resident, Dr. McGrath is a clinical assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at the University at Buffalo and has offices at the Summit Healthplex in Wheatfield. “I’m excited about the opportunity to expand our practice so close to home,” Dr. McGrath said. “The staff at Niagara Falls Memorial enjoys a reputation for delivering high quality care and I look forward to working with them.” “Our fellowship trained hand therapists at the Summit Healthplex will work closely with Dr. McGrath to provide the highest level of care and optimal clinical outcomes,” said Terry Rose, D.P.T., Memorial’s Director of Rehabilitation Services.
