Memorial Medical Center named Employer of the Year

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center was named Employer of the Year during ceremonies held Oct. 27 at the 10th Annual National Disability Employment Awareness Month Breakfast at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Buffalo.

The award was presented by the Western New York Employment Consortium, the New York State Office of Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities (VESID) and the state Department of Labor. It honors an employer that has done an outstanding job of enabling persons with disabilities to become members of their local community's work force.

Memorial was nominated for the award by Dennis Martinez, Niagara County employer marketing representative for VESID.

The award recognizes Memorial's dedication to equal employment opportunity and its success in finding meaningful job placements for qualified applicants who might otherwise have been passed over because of their disabilities.
