Memorial, Office for the Aging sponsor wellness series

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center and the Niagara County Office for the Aging will sponsor several programs on “How to Stay Healthy During Flu Season” in November and December.

The lunchtime seminars will be presented by Maria R. Shah, R.N., B.S.N, C.I.C., the medical center’s infection control coordinator, and are open to the public.

The programs will be presented at the following “Eat Well … Stay Well” lunch sites:

  • Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 11:15 a.m. – Lewiston Senior Center, 4361 Lower River Road, Lewiston
  • Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 11:15 a.m. – John Duke Senior Center, 1201 Hyde Park Blvd., Niagara Falls
  • Tuesday, Dec. 15 at 11 a.m. – Calvin Richards Community/Senior Center, 7000 Lockport Road, Niagara Falls

Lunch will be served at each of those sites for a suggested donation of $2.50.  Please phone 438-4030 at least a day in advance to register.

  • Ms. Shah will also present this program at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19 at Crestwood Commons Patio Homes & Apartments Community Center, 2600 Niagara Falls Blvd., Wheatfield, where a complementary light lunch will served.  To register for that program, please call 278-4604.
