Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency Program

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, the only teaching hospital in Niagara County, enjoys accreditation by the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Family Practice as an Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency Program site.

Our residency program's robust combination of didactic and practical training provides an outstanding learning experience for participating physicians. The program currently has 10 osteopathic family medicine residents and will grow to 12 residents in July 2012.

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center has 30 years of experience in training resident physicians in Family Medicine.  In fact, Family Medicine is the only residency program Memorial offers and our residents work closely with our attending physicians on both an inpatient and outpatient basis.  Our faculty members are interested in research and have published in the areas of patient safety, residency training and working with underserved populations.

At Niagara Falls Memorial, residents have ample opportunities to deal with complex cases.  Our Summit Family Health Center is one of the busiest primary care offices in the area.  Residents also utilize our mobile clinic to provide care to migrant workers at nearby farms and see patients at the Niagara University Health Clinic and Tuscarora Indian Reservation Health Center.

Our resident physicians also assist in providing medical coverage for NCAA Division I athletes at Niagara University.
