Family & Children’s Service of Niagara honors Child Advocacy Center staff member

Family & Children's Service of Niagara has awarded its 2009 Gerald J. Kozak Community Service Award to Betty Lamb, Ed.M., a clinical specialist with the Child Advocacy Center of Niagara.

The award is presented to an individual or group who demonstrates innovative leadership and commitment to improving the lives of children, adults and families in Niagara County while exemplifying the values of collaboration and empowerment.
 
Lamb has 20 years of experience counseling children who have been abused.  She has been involved with the Child Advocacy Center since its inception, helping children and families deal with the traumatic effects of child abuse and domestic violence.
 
A graduate of Niagara University, Lamb worked at the Martha H. Beeman Child Guidance Clinic prior to joining the Child Advocacy Center staff.

The Child Advocacy Center of Niagara, a service of Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, is a multi-disciplinary program in which prosecutors, police officers, child protection workers, therapists, victim advocates and medical professionals collaborate to investigate allegations of physical and sexual child abuse.
