Turner named to special events post

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center has named Cara Turner, the former director of marketing and events at the Lower Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce, as its special events manager.

The appointment was announced by Patricia E. Berggren, the medical center’s corporate advisor for foundation and community relations.

“Cara’s event planning experience with the Chamber will be a real asset to Memorial Medical Center and to the Medical Center Foundation,” Berggren said.  “We are pleased to welcome her aboard.”

Turner is a graduate of Niagara County Community College and Niagara University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Recreation Management - Tourism Marketing.  She previously served as assistant food and beverage manager at the Carlyle Hotel in New York City and meeting services manager for Rich Products Corp.
 
A Lewiston resident, she is a member of the Historic Lewiston Jazz Festival Board of Directors.
