Dr. Jain appointed to Memorial board

Naresh Jain, M.D., has been appointed to the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center Board of Directors.

Dr. Jain assumes the seat formerly held by Dr. Vijay Bojedla, who becomes Memorial's vice president and chief medical officer June 1. Dr. Bojedla will remain on the board by virtue of his new position, replacing Dr. Fatma S. Patel, who is stepping down.

Board certified in both gastroenterology and internal medicine, Dr. Jain has served on Memorial's medical staff for the past 28 years and has an office in Memorial's Medical Office Building.

Dr. Jain and his wife Achla have two children. Their daughter, Megha, lives and works in Manhattan. Their son, Arjun, will graduate from high school this year.

Continuing on the 14-member board are:

• Vice Chairman James C. Roscetti, an attorney with Roscetti & DeCastro, P.C., a Niagara Falls law firm.
• Secretary Cynthia Bianco, deputy superintendent of schools for the Niagara Falls Board of Education.
• Treasurer Charles G. Rader, chief executive officer of IsleChem.
• Betty Babanoury, executive director of the Niagara Falls Public Library.
• Robert L. Bradley Jr., assistant principal at Gaskill Middle School.
• Ronald R. Campbell, chief operating officer for Washington Mills Electro Minerals Corp.
• Stephanie Williams Cowart, executive director of the Niagara Falls Housing Authority.
• Trudy Jackson, a Seneca Nation of Indians tribal councilor and member of the Seneca Nation of Indians Health Department Board of Directors.
• Dr. Khalid M. Khawar, president of the medical staff at Memorial.
• Dr. Mark D. Perry, Memorial's chief of radiology.
• Joseph A. Ruffolo, Memorial's president and chief executive officer.
• Margaret M. Toohey, president of the Lewiston Insurance Agency.
