Home > News Room > Memorial schedules weekday flu shot clinic Memorial schedules weekday flu shot clinicNiagara Falls Memorial Medical Center will conduct a weekday flu shot clinic for adults 18 and older Thursday, Nov. 10, from 5 to 8 p.m. The clinic will be held in the Medical Center Auditorium, 621 10th Street. This year’s influenza vaccine protects against the H3N2 influenza strain, swine flu, part of the H1N1 family, and a Type B strain – all in a single dose. Pneumonia vaccine also will be available at the clinics. In order to expedite the inoculation process, please wear a short-sleeved shirt or top. Those seeking flu shots should use the hospital’s 10th Street entrance or the walkway from the attached parking ramp, where free parking will be provided. Please remember that 10th Street in front of the medical center is temporarily limited to one way travel, with traffic required to enter the block from Pine Avenue. Patients with health insurance, including Medicare, should be prepared to present their insurance cards. No co-pay will be required. Individuals who do not have insurance will be charged $20 for a flu shot. People exhibiting cold-like symptoms, including an elevated temperature, should wait until a later clinic to get their flu shots. For further information, call 278-4413. |
