Dr. Shaikh is a graduate of the B.J. Medical College at the University of Pune in Pune, India and holds a master’s degree in Exercise and Movement Science from the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon. His post-graduate education includes internship and residency at Good Samaritan Hospital, Baltimore, where he was chief resident in 2008-2009; rotations at Johns Hopkins Hospital and the University of Maryland Medical Center; extensive exposure in geriatrics; and stints as a preceptor of medical students from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Ross University School of Medicine, St. Kitts, West Indies. A former assistant professor at the Medical University of the Americas (Nevis, St. Kitts & Nevis, West Indies) where he was a two-time winner of the Outstanding Professor Award, Dr. Shaikh is board-eligible in Internal Medicine and is a member of the American Society for Sports Medicine.
Dr. Kumar’s professional experience includes six years of traditional internal medicine practice prior to her work as a hospitalist. She most recently served on the hospitalist staff at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo. |
