Niagara Grief Center begins new support group at Memorial

The Niagara Grief Center is offering a series of support sessions for adults coping with grief following the sudden tragic death of a loved one.

These sessions provide an opportunity for participants to meet with others who have experienced a similar tragedy in a supportive, caring, non-judgmental, healing environment. Participants will get the opportunity to express their feelings of personal loss and grief as well as their role in supporting family members and friends dealing with the same tragic loss.

These facilitated sessions are free of charge, nondenominational and open to anyone who has experienced the sudden death of a loved one.

Sessions are held Tuesday evenings at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center in the first floor auditorium beginning at 6 p.m. To enroll or inquire please call Memorial's Community Education Office at 278-4523 or the Mental Health Association of Niagara County at 433-3780.

The Niagara Grief Center is a collaboration of many Niagara County community service agencies who have worked together for over 3 years to offer the community sudden death grief support services.
