Then it's time for you to join the PRIME PLUS/Red Hot Mamas®. Their mission: To take part in a menopause management education program that provides medical information and peer support to women, men and family members dealing with the physical and psychological impact of menopause, which usually affects women age 40 and beyond. Dr. Roberta Gebhard will present "What's Happening to Me? My Sleep, My Memory, My Moods, My Self" at the next PRIME PLUS/Red Hot Mamas® meeting June 5 at 7 p.m. in the Medical Center Auditorium. Remember the date of this important program, write it down, and remember to bring a friend! Dr. Gebhard will help you to understand the hormonal changes that occur during and after the menopause transition and influence your sleep, memory, moods, and self. A teaching on how to deal with dry eyes will also be held. PRIME PLUS/Red Hot Mamas® was founded in 1991 and is the largest program of this type with chapters across the country. All women, their partners and family members are urged to attend and learn about this critical aspect of their health and become empowered to be proactive in managing their own healthcare. To learn more, visit www.redhotmamas.org. To register, call 278-4523. |
