Memorial Medical Center will be Rockin’ the Park on Aug. 23

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center will celebrate summer in the city by Rockin’ the Park at Schoellkopf Park from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23.

The free outdoor concert will feature music by The A-List Band with food specials provided by the Hard Rock Café from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The public is invited.

“This summer celebration is one of the ways we share this beautiful park with all our neighbors and thank the community for its steadfast support,” said Ann Marie Tucker, Memorial’s vice president for foundation and community relations.

Formed in June 2006, The A-List Band covers songs from six decades with a playlist that ranges from ’60s classic rock and ’70s disco to the hits of the 90's and today.  The popular band performs more than 100 shows a year.

Schoellkopf Park, located adjacent to Schoellkopf Health Center on the eastern end of Niagara Falls Memorial’s downtown campus, was built in 1913 and was restored to its former majesty in a $630,000 makeover that was completed in 2008.  Designed by award-winning landscape architect Joy Kuebler, it now looks much as it did nearly a century ago.
