Walk-in digital mammograms available at Summit Healthplex

Walk-in digital mammograms are now available at our Summit Healthplex outpatient service center, 6934 Williams Road, Suite 550, Wheatfield.
 
Our new mammography system, which was manufactured by Hologic, features state-of-the-art, full-field digital capability with a computer aided detection program, dedicated workstation for image display and interpretation, and digital picture archiving and communication. It was installed as part of a $400,000 building renovation and technology upgrade project at the Summit Healthplex.
 
Digital mammography is one of the most powerful diagnostic tools available for the early detection of breast cancer. The Hologic digital system provides exceptional image quality using less radiation than analog systems.
 
Walk-in digital mammograms are available weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Patients are reminded to bring a prescription from their physician ordering the exam. For additional information, call 298-5872.
