Private Rooms -- No Extra Charge

Area hospitals have recently and actively begun to promote what they're calling a new trend in patient care -- private rooms for their patients.

A story in one local publication even went so far as to say "a handful of other hospitals in the area have converted some units to private rooms."

Frankly, we wonder what took them so long to figure it out. Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, the largest and most comprehensive provider of health care services in Niagara County, has been offering private accommodations to its patients at no extra charge since the mid-1970s. 
  
In fact, 100 percent of our acute care beds – medical/surgical, intensive care and maternity – are private rooms and have been for years.  The same holds true at our Schoellkopf Health Center, where every room has been a private room since the day we opened the doors.
