A growing international patient program at Memorial provides personalized support for Canadians and medical tourists from around the world who travel to another country to obtain medical care. Our team helps coordinate every step of the process, from consultation to treatment and follow up, ensuring a smooth, efficient experience.


We can arrange an almost immediate consultation after your initial contact and, when appropriate, same day diagnostic testing such as MRI, CT scans, and X-rays. Canadian patients benefit from significantly reduced wait times, expert care, a complete package of services, and comprehensive reports sent directly to their personal care provider.


Concierge Team Approach


Our concierge team assists in every aspect of patient care. We help coordinate consultations, arrange diagnostic testing, and schedule follow up appointments tailored to your individual needs.


Patients who stay overnight enjoy private room accommodations. We also support family members by helping them find places to stay, dine, and shop. Available services include:

We offer MRI services with fast appointments that get you on your way to treatment and healing faster. Our state-of-the-art 3T MRI provides fast, detailed imaging. Just minutes from the border, if you're facing a long wait, give us a call.

  • Will OHIP or my insurance pay for my services?

    That depends on the circumstances. Call OHIP and your insurance company to request payment information on procedures and tests conducted in the United States. We ask that you pay us directly for your service. In turn, we will provide you with a bill to submit for reimbursement. In accordance with New York state law, you will need a prescription from your doctor to schedule a test. We will provide the results of your test to your personal physician.

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

    We accept cash, bank drafts, money orders and all major credit cards. Payments must be in U.S. funds. We will be happy to assist you with hotel and other arrangements to ease your stay.
