Volunteer
Volunteers play an essential role in supporting patients, visitors, and staff throughout Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Whether assisting at the information desk, helping with transportation programs, supporting special events, or providing administrative assistance, volunteers help extend Memorial's mission of compassionate care throughout the community.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers have been an important part of Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for generations. Whether you're a retiree looking to stay active, a student exploring a career in healthcare, or someone who simply wants to give back to the community, volunteering at Memorial is a meaningful way to make a difference.
Make an Impact
As members of the Memorial team, volunteers provide valuable support to patients, visitors, and staff throughout the Medical Center. Opportunities are available in both patient-facing and behind-the-scenes roles, allowing volunteers to contribute in ways that match their interests, skills, and availability.
Volunteer responsibilities may include:
- Greeting and assisting patients and visitors
- Staffing information desks and the gift shop
- Supporting special events and community activities
- Assisting with transportation programs such as CARExpress
- Providing administrative and departmental support
- Performing a variety of other essential services throughout the Medical Center
Benefits of Volunteering
Volunteering at Memorial is an opportunity to meet new people, gain valuable experience, support your community, and be part of a mission-driven healthcare organization. Student volunteers can explore healthcare careers, while community volunteers help create a welcoming and compassionate experience for patients and families.
Volunteers receive free parking while on duty, a complimentary meal voucher during their shift, and recognition for their service through Memorial's annual volunteer appreciation program.
Getting Started
The application process includes submitting a volunteer application, participating in an interview and orientation, and completing required health screenings. Volunteers are generally asked to commit to a minimum of three hours per week.
